I have been having a bunch of contractions in the evening but so far nothing regular or productive. So we keep working on the list of things to do before Margaret arrives. Last night we realized the carseat is buried in the garage, so we need to get that out and get it installed!
I have gained 21 pounds. So that is enough to make her happy and little enough to keep me feeling happier. I feel huge. I look huge. Sleeping through the night escapes me, although I am so exhausted that I feel like I could fall asleep at any time.
My next checkup is Thursday (rescheduled from today) and then I will be going in once a week until she arrives.
Here's the official scoop:

How your baby's growing:
Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement.
Bob should be pleased to know she is no longer totally covered in cheese and hair...
